The First Team FT186 Heavy-Duty Flex Goal is made for both indoor and outdoor use. This durable steel rim meets professional, NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), and high school athletic association standards. It has a multiple list of backboard rim mounting patterns punched into it. The most standard mounting size that this rim is used with is a 5”x 5” pattern but it can handle 5" x 4 ^1/2", 5" x 4", and 3" x 4". It is manufactured with heavy duty 3/16” thick backplate. For an even thicker backplate, go to the FT187 which is made with ¼” thick. However, the 3/16” that the FT186 is manufactured with is heavier than most competitor’s construction. This rim comes with a heavy-duty net. It includes the cover plate and all necessary assembly parts. The First Team FT186 is made with a protective finger guard to protect the fingers from getting trapped between the rim and the backboard when it is in it’s breakaway position.
